Teaching My Children!

The Lord tells us to teach our children what they need to know and for us to protect them, emotionally and physically and also to teach them the things of the spirit. When it comes to raising children I am learning that is is HARD and SCARY and I need Gods help EVERY second of every day. Sometimes we make decisions that others do not like or that people don't agree with or even that our families don't like, But each and every decision is brought before God with much prayer and we make decisions that God wants us to make even if that means others get mad.

Right now my child is seeking God and I want to live a life of example and no I am not perfect and I mess up daily! But I want my child to know that God has mercy on me and forgives me and that's what matters.

The Lord Says:

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Exodus 18:2
"Teach them [children] the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform."

Deuteronomy 4:9
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commmandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Psalm 8:2
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

Proverbs 20:11
Even a child is known by his actions,
by whether his conduct is pure and right.

I want my children to look back one day and say "I am so thankful that my parents taught me the ways of The Lord and about the Holy Spirit and didn't care what others thought!" I look back on my life and am so thankful that my mother taught me about The Lord and also sheltered me from things of this life until I was ready to see or know about them!

Have A Blessed Day!!

God's Grace

Hey Guys! I am so glad to be back to the blogger world it's been way too long!! One of my goals this year is to spend as much time with The Lord as I can! I want to sit at a Jesus feet and let Him teach me and just to bask in His presence!

I want to share something The Lord showed me a couple of days after Christmas...

In Hebrews 12:15 it says...See to it that no one misses the grace of God... (Hebrews 12:15 NIV84)
That is just the first part of the verse but I want to focus of that because it is so powerful! I feel like God showed me this verse for a reason... God truly has showed me his grace and mercy through everything!! I wanted to know more about his grace so I did some researching and this is what I found out about Gods Grace: Simply put, GRACE can be defined as unearned favor. Specifically, God's grace is something God does for the benefit of His people just because He loves them, not because of something they have done to earn it. Grace is a gift and can never be earned. It's always totally FREE. God's Grace is "the power of God to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves". And the fact is, we cannot do anything for ourselves. Jesus says, "...without me you can do nothing." John 15:5

The Bible gives us a beautiful example of what grace is and does in Numbers 20 when Moses took the Children of Israel out of Egypt and into the desert the people soon became thirsty, but there wasn't any water to be found. God told Moses to strike a specific rock and He (God) would give the people water. The water that came out of that rock demonstrates the grace of God flowing out to all who would drink. It also caused the parched and barren land to blossom which in turn gave the people and animals something to eat. Without this water, without God's grace supplying the needs of the people, the people would have died. Christ is the Rock; He is also the Living Water.

This year I want Hebrews 12:15 to be my goal to share God's grace with everyone I meet!!! I hope everyone has a BLESSED Monday and ROLL TIDE!!!

Believing God,

It's been too long!!

It's been way way way too long!! I am back to the blogger world though!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We had a different Christmas... It was weird not having mom there and everything was different but we made it through better than I ever expected. We had Christmas day at Aunt Angie and Uncle Shane,s house to make things different and I think that helped. I missed getting to do my usual shopping with mom and her helping me know what to get people, she always told me what to get people but I realized that the best gift I could have this year was the rest of the family around us!

On December 9, 2011 my Great Grandfather passed away. He was such a great man and I miss him so much. He was always stirring up some kind of trouble and he was always coming up with some kind of crazy story. He was always keeping the staff at the nursing home and my Nannie and Aunt Kathy on their toes! He was always wanting someone to bring him a car to the nursing home and could not understand why they wouldn't lol.

On another note... God is preparing me and Nick for a new Chapter in or lives (more information to come). I wanted to share something that God revealed to me on Wednesday....God used a situation on Wednesday to reveal to me that He was preparing me. Wednesday I was doubting that I would be able to handle certain situations that I am going to come head to head with. I was asking myself if I would be too emotional or would not be strong enough to handle these certain situations, and as usual God revealed to me just what I needed Him too. He Revealed to me that he was preparing me emotionally for all the up and down situations...for all the long days and nights...that he was preparing me and Nick and making us stronger as a couple but also as individuals and that He was going to be right there every step of the way!!! He revealed to me that every road He takes me and Nick on that He is going to be there for us every step of the way and that He WILL PREPARE ME FOR EVERY SITUATION! For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) So as God takes me and Nick down the roads He has planned for us...I am ready and I will trust Him and know that He will prepare me for whatever He has planned!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Movie Plug and Creek Night!

Happy Sunday!
Ok so I have been away for a while due to not having Internet connection for a while. How has everyone been? I have been making it pretty good, we are just getting used to the new normal and Nick has been working in Memphis a whole lot so I have kinda been a loner for a few weeks.

I have some exciting news..... I started a new job the second week in September. I am no longer working with the Bank (i miss all my Bank Friends) and I am not working at the Green Hill Daycare and Learning Center and I love it. I am also working on my photography business and It is beginning to take off! Thanks for every ones business! I love working with the children and being able to be a positive influence in a childs life everyday and I am so thankful that God has allowed me this oppertunity!

Today we went to see the new movie Courageous with our wonderful church family and it was great. It is geared toward Fathers but I would recommend that everyone see it.. I cried my eyes out but it was sooooo worth it. I will not give any details from the movieto give it away but you should go see it..

After the movie we went to the Lake lot with the church and had a bonfire and made smorez and had Life Groups.. it was so much fun to hang out with everyone and get to talk about important truths. Its so amazing how when you dont don't set a schedule, God shows up in a mighty way!

So that is kinda my Sunday Recap... I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a blessed week next week.  And if you have a chance go see that movie its great!!!

Love,
Rosie
