Happy Monday!

So I thought that I might start a Blog Hop and see how it goes. I am calling it Music Monday! I was thinking about how everyone has favorite music so why not share it with other people. So today I am starting Music Monday and anyone who wants to join is welcome to!! Just think of a song that you are loving today and then post a YOU TUBE video of that song and copy and paste my logo!

And today I am loving this song...

As for Me and My House by John Waller:

So I hope you have a wonderful Monday and a wonderful week...

Also say a prayer for one of my friends who is possibly having her baby today!!

Movie Plug and Creek Night!

Happy Sunday!
Ok so I have been away for a while due to not having Internet connection for a while. How has everyone been? I have been making it pretty good, we are just getting used to the new normal and Nick has been working in Memphis a whole lot so I have kinda been a loner for a few weeks.

I have some exciting news..... I started a new job the second week in September. I am no longer working with the Bank (i miss all my Bank Friends) and I am not working at the Green Hill Daycare and Learning Center and I love it. I am also working on my photography business and It is beginning to take off! Thanks for every ones business! I love working with the children and being able to be a positive influence in a childs life everyday and I am so thankful that God has allowed me this oppertunity!

Today we went to see the new movie Courageous with our wonderful church family and it was great. It is geared toward Fathers but I would recommend that everyone see it.. I cried my eyes out but it was sooooo worth it. I will not give any details from the movieto give it away but you should go see it..

After the movie we went to the Lake lot with the church and had a bonfire and made smorez and had Life Groups.. it was so much fun to hang out with everyone and get to talk about important truths. Its so amazing how when you dont don't set a schedule, God shows up in a mighty way!

So that is kinda my Sunday Recap... I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a blessed week next week.  And if you have a chance go see that movie its great!!!

Love,
Rosie

"Shanna's Cause"

I am back after a ruff week. I would like to thank everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement during the loss of my mother. I am not going to act like I have it all together, because I don't. Its been hard, the hardest thing I have ever been through. I miss her so much! For the past few years she has been my best friend other than my husband. I have told her everything and we talk everyday. I miss not being able to pick up the phone and give her a call. I know that people say it gets easier and I know eventually it will but right now my heart is breaking.

She was such a beautiful pearson inside and out. She has been my advise giver my whole life and she has been the one who has told me when I was acting like a butt lol. She was not only there for me, but she has been there for so many people in our family and community. It makes me so happy to know how many people came to the visitaion and the funeral. She was so loved.

Not only did she love her family and community, but she loved the Lord with her whole heart and she walked a life that was evident of that! She taught me so many things about God's Amazing Grace and love and how to be strong in the Lord! I want to live the life she did and I only hope that I will be able to make her so proud to call me her Daughter (Because it is my honor and privilage to call her my Mother)!

My mother wanted so bad to see her community united for "one cause" and that is to make a difference for the Good! We are now calling that "one caue": "Shanna's Cause". With God's help we will unite GreenHill for that cause. She was at the first meeting and you could see the passion in her eyes a couple of weeks ago. I know that God has a plan for her being gone and as much as I miss her I know that so many incredible things have already happened. I mean look at the 1000 people that showed up at the visitation and only my mother would have a Church of Christ, Baptist, and Non-Denominational preacher to preach her funeral! Incredible right! Not to mention the people that have made donations and have told us that they want to be apart of her cause!!! I had read Psalms 20 last Monday morning before she went to be with Jesus and I find it so true right now....

1 In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.
May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.
2 May he send you help from his sanctuary
      and strengthen you from Jerusalem.[a]
3 May he remember all your gifts
and look favorably on your burnt offerings.
4 May he grant your heart’s desires
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory
and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the Lord answer all your prayers.
6 Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king.
He will answer him from his holy heaven
and rescue him by his great power.
7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses,
but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
8 Those nations will fall down and collapse,
but we will rise up and stand firm.
9 Give victory to our king, O Lord!
      Answer our cry for help.

I know she is smiling down on us and she is so happy about what is happening in our community! We will reach Greenhill and I will see her Cause come to pass if I have to devote my every breath to it!!!

We played this song at the funeral because my mom always wanted me and bonnie to sing it on sunday mornings. I had never really listened to the words, but they are awesome so I thought I would share them with you along with some recent pictures of our family!

I hope you enjoyed that video!!! Again thank you so so so much for everything that everyone has done for us during this very difficult time. Also if you would like to be a part of "Shanna's Casue" please let me know! We would love for you to be a part!! Hope you have a BLESSED day!!

I'M BACK AND THANKFUL!!

Good Morning!

I will admit, I have been a really really really bad Blogger lately. I promise I am going to do better and try not to go months without posting. Anyway! I want to brag on our GREAT GOD for just a min.

God has been doing some really amazing things in mine and Nick's lives lately!! Nick and I have been praying for God's will in our lives to be done. We have been so blessed this past year and God has provided every need for us. On that note Nick was very thankful for his job at Wal Mart, but He knew that it was just his resting place for Him while God prepared the perfect Job for him. A few months ago we were watching the movie Unstoppable (Good movie, ALOT of Language) and Nick got a word from God. Nick felt the Lord ask him if He was ready for a carrier change and Nick was like YES LORD! He felt like God told him that he was going to work on a Train. Nick shared this with me later that night. I will admit that at first it sounded a little far fetched.. I mean Nick has never said anything about working on a Train or anything like that. This next part is AWESOME... The next morning I left very early for work (now if you know me you know that had to be a God thing because I never leave early for work usually just on time). As I was passing the gas station I knew I had time to stop and so being the Diet Dew lover I am I thought I will stop by there and get me a Mountain Dew. As I was coming out of the store my Step Dad L.W. stopped me and said that He had talked to his cousin (who works for Norfolk Southern) and he told him to tell Nick to apply for the RAILROAD because they would be hiring in the next few weeks or so. Hello talk about my Jaw hitting the floor... I was like God really? I called Nick right then and told him! That night Nick put in his application. And then we started the waiting game.... We did not hear anything from them for two months. Nick got a email from them saying that he would need to go to a hiring session and plan on being there all day and guess what it was on a Wednesday (the only day of the week Nick was off at Wal Mart). He went through the hiring day and they told him that they would get in touch with him in 3-5 business days. An hour after he left the hiring session, he got a call offering him a job working on a TRAIN! GOD IS SO GREAT!!! I am so excited for Nick! He is doing his training right now. He had to go to Georgia for three weeks for classroom training at the end of July and now he is at the local yard doing training and He will have to do some traveling.

On another note my photography has taken off and I have so much business right now! Thank You GOD! I am so excited that God is doing so many great things right now, not only in my life but in the lives of our community!

Lindsey, my friend whose wedding I was in back in May, and Kyle, my cousin by marriage, is going to have a sweet baby (I am hoping its a girl, because I need to spoil her rotten)! They are so excited and we are so excited for them! Here is a few pics from their wedding =)

On another note.. My best friend, Sarah.  is getting married Saturday. I am so ecited for them and so excited to get to take pictures for them at their wedding. I know God has great things in store for them as a couple!

Sarah and Me at My Wedding July 3, 2010
So I think that gets me caught up on the big news.. I hope everyone has a great day! What are you thankful for right now in your life? What is God doing for you? I look forward to hearing from you!

Love ya,
Chelsey Rose
