"Shanna's Cause"

I am back after a ruff week. I would like to thank everyone for your prayers and words of encouragement during the loss of my mother. I am not going to act like I have it all together, because I don't. Its been hard, the hardest thing I have ever been through. I miss her so much! For the past few years she has been my best friend other than my husband. I have told her everything and we talk everyday. I miss not being able to pick up the phone and give her a call. I know that people say it gets easier and I know eventually it will but right now my heart is breaking.

She was such a beautiful pearson inside and out. She has been my advise giver my whole life and she has been the one who has told me when I was acting like a butt lol. She was not only there for me, but she has been there for so many people in our family and community. It makes me so happy to know how many people came to the visitaion and the funeral. She was so loved.

Not only did she love her family and community, but she loved the Lord with her whole heart and she walked a life that was evident of that! She taught me so many things about God's Amazing Grace and love and how to be strong in the Lord! I want to live the life she did and I only hope that I will be able to make her so proud to call me her Daughter (Because it is my honor and privilage to call her my Mother)!

My mother wanted so bad to see her community united for "one cause" and that is to make a difference for the Good! We are now calling that "one caue": "Shanna's Cause". With God's help we will unite GreenHill for that cause. She was at the first meeting and you could see the passion in her eyes a couple of weeks ago. I know that God has a plan for her being gone and as much as I miss her I know that so many incredible things have already happened. I mean look at the 1000 people that showed up at the visitation and only my mother would have a Church of Christ, Baptist, and Non-Denominational preacher to preach her funeral! Incredible right! Not to mention the people that have made donations and have told us that they want to be apart of her cause!!! I had read Psalms 20 last Monday morning before she went to be with Jesus and I find it so true right now....

1 In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.
May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.
2 May he send you help from his sanctuary
      and strengthen you from Jerusalem.[a]
3 May he remember all your gifts
and look favorably on your burnt offerings.
4 May he grant your heart’s desires
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory
and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.
May the Lord answer all your prayers.
6 Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king.
He will answer him from his holy heaven
and rescue him by his great power.
7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses,
but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.
8 Those nations will fall down and collapse,
but we will rise up and stand firm.
9 Give victory to our king, O Lord!
      Answer our cry for help.

I know she is smiling down on us and she is so happy about what is happening in our community! We will reach Greenhill and I will see her Cause come to pass if I have to devote my every breath to it!!!

We played this song at the funeral because my mom always wanted me and bonnie to sing it on sunday mornings. I had never really listened to the words, but they are awesome so I thought I would share them with you along with some recent pictures of our family!

I hope you enjoyed that video!!! Again thank you so so so much for everything that everyone has done for us during this very difficult time. Also if you would like to be a part of "Shanna's Casue" please let me know! We would love for you to be a part!! Hope you have a BLESSED day!!

Love,
Chelsey Rose
